The Movies

If life were a movie
This would be the part
When all seems hopeless
Someone has a broken heart

If life were a movie
We’re at the climax
The killer’s in the house
Someone gonna get the axe

If life were a movie
The end’s so hard to see
So the little fish gives up
Too large is the sea

If life were a movie
Here we start to ask how
When everything’s a mess
What good can happen now

If life were a movie
This is the hardest part
Everything looks bleak
Everything is dark

If life were a movie
The audience would know
That a good change is coming
But for the characters it’s slow

If life were a movie
Everything would work out
The audience would ask
Why did we ever doubt

If life were a movie
The end would soon be clear
But life is not a movie
So we must wait with faith my dear
