Unnoticed

Often she goes unnoticed
Another stranger passing by
One with a faraway look
That deepens her overcast eyes

Just moving through life
Each and every day
Nary giving any expression
Rarely anything significant to say

However, she’s not as ordinary
As you just may think
And if you catch her eye
She may give you a knowing wink

If you look a little closer
To you she may show
There’s something special within
More than most will ever know

Her light is stronger than most
Yet only a few will ever see
Be careful not to turn away
Or the magic may cease to be
